Government

The City of Waukee is directed by the Waukee Mayor and City Council and managed by a City Administrator. The City Council is responsible for policy-making, and the City Administrator provides policy advice, directs daily operations, handles personnel functions, etc. The City has 100 employees throughout 11 municipal departments. Volunteer boards and commission also assist with decisions related to moving Waukee forward.
