Social Lunch & Bingo

Gather with friends on the first Friday of each month for a social lunch catered by the Waukee Fareway. The cost for lunch is $4; bingo is $1 + $.10 per card. Come for a good meal and stay for a great social hour. Lunch begins at noon, and bingo is played from 1-2:30 p.m. No registration is required. 2018 Dates: TBD

Movie Matinee in the Miner’s

Join us the second Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. for a movie on the library’s big screen. We will be showing everything from major blockbusters to classics. All movies are free, and popcorn and lemonade are available. No registration is required.

Explore Winterset, September 19 (past)

Travel south to visit the famous Covered Bridges of Madison County and much more! Learn about the history and stories of the covered bridges, have lunch and shop local stores and visit the Madison County Historical Society. Cap the day off with a stop at Iowa’s only hard apple cidery for some samples! Register

​Vikings vs. Packers Road Trip, October 15 (past)

Come experience the NEW U.S. Bank Stadium! Ride along to Minneapolis on Sunday, October 15 to watch the Vikings take on the Green Bay Packers. Seating will be in section 349. Game time is noon*; the charter bus will depart early Sunday morning around 6 a.m. There will be one stop for restrooms and food each way, and travelers are welcome to bring food and beverages on the bus. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Fee includes transportation, parking and ticket to the game. Spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Registration begins on September 1.

Christmas​ at Greenfield, December 5 (past)

Join Inboundiowa on a special day trip and get into the Holiday Spirit. Bubba Sorensen, creator of the original Freedom Rock, changes pieces on this rock every year for Memorial Day; this will be our first stop on the way to Greenfield. Our day continues with shopping on their Town Square. If you’re not a shopper Foster’s Car and Vintage Signs Collection will be open for you to tour. Lunch will be at the Hotel Greenfield. Bubba Sorensen will be the guest speaker. He will share his story of why he started painting “Freedom Rocks” and the goals for this project. Those interested can also enjoy a tour of this old Hotel. Dessert will be in the Warren Cultural Center among the “Tour of Trees”. While you are enjoying the Center, Christmas entertainment will be supplied by local talent. One final destination will be the Iowa Aviation Museum. This newly renovated museum has expanded its square footage and continues to accept any and all information, photos and items from all Iowans who have ever been involved in aeronautical military services. Fee includes transportation, lunch, entertainment, all admissions and gratuities.Register!
