    The Waukee Public Library Summer Reading Program kicks off May 26! This year’s theme is "Build a Better World!”. It focuses on engineering and being caring citizens. All ages of children, teens and adults can read or listen to books and turn in reading logs. At the end of the summer, participants will be entered to win prizes. Reading logs can be picked up at the library, located at 950 Warrior Lane. Participants may also register and log hours online at WaukeeLibrary.Beanstack.org.

  1. Movies in the Park - Trolls

    Enjoy the fifth year of Hollywood’s biggest hits under the stars sponsored by NCMIC Group and Professional Solutions! Movies in the Park is FREE and provides an abundance of family fun.
    Trolls (PG) will conclude the 2017 season on Friday, July 21 at dusk or approximately 8:45 p.m. at Centennial Park. Trolls is one hour and 32 minutes in length. In this 2016 movie, after the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the curmudgeonly Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends.
    Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments, and get ready to make memories with family and friends. Join in the fun of the Trolls Craziest Hair Contest. Fix your locks up in a wild way. Winners will receive a great prize!

  2. 6th Street Closed from Laurel St to Hickman Rd

    July 12, 2017 - July 26, 2017

    Beginning July 12 a portion of 6th Street will be closed to make utility connections and to repave a part of the road to accommodate the entrance to the new Kum and Go store at the corner of Hickman Rd and 6th St. The closure will begin July 12th and last approximately 2 weeks, weather pending. A signed detour route will be in place utilizing Laurel St and 4th St.
