Waukee Fire Department Adds Two Full-Time Staff Members

Tony Clemen and Josh Hutton

As the City of Waukee continues to enjoy steady growth, public safety staff must also expand in order to serve the growing population. The Waukee Fire Department is proud to announce two staff advancements.

Waukee Firefighter Tony Clemen (right) was hired as a full-time Lieutenant on Tuesday, May 17. Clemen is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and the Mercy College of Health Sciences. He has served with the Waukee Fire Department as a paid on-call member since 2010 and was promoted to a paid on-call Lieutenant in 2015.

“Tony brings great leadership qualities to this newly created position and creates a great team environment,” said Waukee Fire Chief Clint Robinson. “It is important to cultivate additional leaders within the department as we keep growing.”

The Waukee Fire Department also recently hired Josh Hutton (left) as a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic. Josh is a graduate of the Mercy College of Health Sciences and has been serving the Waukee Fire Department since 2005 as a paid on-call Firefighter/Paramedic. Josh was recently honored with the Waukee Fire Department’s 2016 Medic of the Year distinction.
