The City's "Land in Waukee" campaign, which launched in the spring of 2016, was recently recognized by national organization 3CMA (City-County Communications & Marketing Association). The marketing campaign featured print ads, online ads, videos, a brochure and a webpage all branded with the Land in Waukee look. It generated 180,000 impressions promoting Waukee as a development destination and highlighting the City's Connectivity, Opportunity, Progress, Amenities and People.
City staff entered "Land in Waukee" in 3CMA’s Savvy Award program, and it brought home the top Savvy Award in the Marketing and Tools – Economic Development category. Here’s what the judges had to say about Land in Waukee’s Savvy win: “Waukee's campaign was creative in its messaging, presented the information in a clean and simple manner, and had measurable results tied in with the goals of the plan".
3CMA is a professional organization which connects city and county communicators nationwide and provides professional enrichment opportunities. It's an honor to be recognized by the group for marketing and economic development achievements, and it is an exciting time for development within the City of Waukee.
