The Citizens Academy classes will take place on Thursday evenings from October 25, 2018 through January 10, 2019. The 30-hour block of instruction is designed to give members of the public a working knowledge of the practices, policies and procedures governing the Waukee Police Department. The Academy consists of 10 weekly three-hour sessions and an optional ride-along with an officer.

“We have had great citizen responses to this program,” said Sergeant Mackenzie Sposeto. “We look forward to a new group this year and being able to provide another inside look to the Waukee Police Department in an engaging and impactful way.”
