The City’s Marketing & Communications Department as well as staff members from across other departments joined together and completed a year-long project in partnership with CivicPlus to redesign Waukee.org.
The new website not only features a new design and easier navigation, but it also allows users to:
New to this version of Waukee.org, users can now submit events to the City’s calendar on the homepage. If users are planning community events as part of civic organizations or groups, they can now submit calendar items to the City for approval.
Earlier this year, the City introduced storymapping for development projects. The new website now includes storymaps for public improvement/construction projects and City parks as well. Visitors can browse the interactive maps to see project locations, progress and details.
The new website also features a mobile-responsive design to provide users with ease-of-use on their smart phone, tablet and other mobile devices. With the new website, the City of Waukee will be able to increase its community engagement and enhance the communication between residents and the local government.
