Enjoy Pancakes and Art on Saturday, May 14

American Gothic

The Waukee Firefighters’ Association will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast Event from 7-11 a.m. on May 14 at the Waukee Public Safety Building. The breakfast will include inflatables and fire truck rides in addition to “All You Care to Eat” pancakes and sausage for only $5 a person (4 & under eat free)!

The same day, beginning at 10 a.m., visit the Waukee Public Library for a dedication event for its American Gothic-inspired sculpture Iowa - Past and Present - Living Fence. The piece’s creator John Brommel will open the event with a speech, then attendees can enjoy art-making activities, food and refreshments all day!
