Winter Reading Program Wraps Up With Great Success

winter reading program

The Waukee Public Library wrapped up its Winter Reading Program on January 31. 139 families participated in the reading and rewards program, themed "Wild About Reading". The participating families turned in 229 reading logs which totaled approximately 1,145 total days of reading at home for at least 15 minutes. That's a lot of cold winter days spent with a book!

In partnership with the Waukee Public Library Friends Foundation, 229 books will now be donated to Waukee Area Christian Services to be given away to families in need.
