The City of Waukee offers a variety of irrigation meters to measure water used for pools, yards, gardens or other outside uses. The purpose of an irrigation meter is to allow our citizens to not be charged sewer charges for use of outside water that will never enter the sanitary sewer system.

Both portable and permanent meters are available. 

Portable meters are small meters that can be moved from outside faucet to outside faucet. They can be purchased for $80.00 at City Hall. 

In order to receive sewer credit on portable meters, the meter's reading must be called in by the 20th of each month. Credits are applied per thousand gallons of water used.
