The Code Compliance Officer has twelve (12) days (excluding Sundays
and legal holidays) in which to approve or deny any building permit application. All
approved construction (except fences) must be inspected by the Code Compliance
Officer at various stages of construction, including a final inspection.
Once a building permit has been approved, if work has not begun on the
approved project within ninety (90) days of the date of approval, the building
permit will expire.
All building permit applications must also be accompanied by a site drawing
of the lot and proposed construction in question. The site drawing
must include the following information, either on the back of the application
or on a separate piece of paper:
- all lot lines, including dimensions
- all existing structures on the lot, including any trees or plantings
that may be affected by the proposed construction
- location and dimensions of proposed construction
- distance (in feet) from proposed construction to lot lines and existing
structures
- proposed building materials (if applicable)
- blueprints of proposed construction (all except fence permit applications)
