Special Needs Activities

Courage League Sports

Courage League Sports is a non-profit adaptive sports and recreation program offering year-round opportunities for children and adults who are not able to go full speed due to physical, cognitive or emotional disabilities. By adapting the pace, equipment or nature of an activity, Courage League can provide a safe and accessible environment in which participants can go at their own speed. Waukee Parks & Recreation and Courage League Sports are excited to partner for two all-inclusive programs this summer. Join us the first four Thursdays in May for Special Recreation League Play and then for Summer Camp in July. Participants in both of the sessions will experience adapted superhero training, fitness, group games, music/movement and seasonal sports! Participants
