Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

    Join local, certified yoga instructors for Yoga in the Park this summer! Bring a yoga mat or towel to Windfield Park (114 Windfield Parkway) on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from June through August. Yoga sessions will take place from 8-9 a.m. This program is recommended for anyone 8 years and older. The cost is $2 per person. Please pay the instructor when you arrive.   15. Cupcake Decorating Class

    July 23, 2020 - July 27, 2020 @ Waukee Public Library Online

    Learn to decorate cupcakes like a pro! In this online class, Holly from Creme Cupcake will demonstrate 4 "Imagine Your Story" themed cupcake designs. Those registered for this class will get to pick-up a Creme Cupcake Kit from the Library containing 4 unfrosted cupcakes and all the decorating bags, tips, and frosting needed to follow along with the video and create the designs at home! Those on the registration list will be able to pick-up their free Cupcake Kit (one per household) via curbside pick-up on Thursday, July 23rd from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Curbside pick-up will be located at the Library (unless otherwise announced). Library staff will be wearing gloves and masks during distribution. Missed the chance to sign-up for a Kit? You can still "attend" the class! The video of this class will be publicly available from Thursday, July 23rd at 6pm to Monday, July 27th at 6pm. The video will be viewable via the Library's social media accounts and on the Library's website.
