Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Curb Lane Closure: Grand Prairie Parkway and SE Esker Ridge Drive

    October 25, 2018 - November 1, 2018

    The southbound curb lane of Grand Prairie Parkway will be closed to allow for SE Esker Ridge Drive paving to be tied into the existing Grand Prairie Parkway pavement.

  2. Beastly Potter Party

    October 26, 2018, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Waukee Public Library

    All ages of Harry Potter fans should attend this enchanted evening. There will be live magical creatures from the Blank Park Zoo and many other beastly and magical activities. The first 100 guests will receive a free magic wand pen. All guests will have the chance to enter a drawing for two free tickets to the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert with the Des Moines Symphony at the Des Moines Civic Center on January 25 & 26, 2019. No registration required.

    October 26, 2018, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Centennial Park Enclosed Shelter

    The Waukee Park Board sponsors an annual haunted house. Enter if you dare, but be prepared to be scared. This haunted house is not suggested for young children.
