Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Storytimes at the Library

    November 20, 2018, 10:00 AM - 2:15 PM @ Waukee Public Library

    BOOKS & BABIES - 11am For infants 0-17 mo. & caregivers 15 minutes of songs, rhymes and books, followed by playtime to build early literacy skills. TODDLER TIME - 10am & 11am For children 18 mo. to 3 yrs old 20 minutes of short stories, songs and lots of movement, followed by playtime to build early literacy skills. PRESCHOOL STORYTIME - 10am & 11am For children 3 to 5 yrs old 30 minutes of stories, songs and rhymes, followed by a craft. For children who can sit for longer stories to develop school readiness. All storytime attendance will be a first-come first-served basis. Class size is limited for the safety of the children.

  2. Books On Tap: The Winter People

    November 20, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Mickey's Irish Pub

    Meet at Mickey’s Irish Pub (50 SE Laurel Street) on the third Tuesday of every month for food, drinks, and a discussion of each month’s book. Copies of the discussion book may be picked up at the library’s front desk or at Mickey’s during the meeting.
