  1. Northern Alice's Road Entrance to Hy-Vee Closed

    November 26, 2018, 8:00 AM - December 2, 2018

    The contractor for the Alice's Road widening project has scheduled a closure of the northern entrance into the Waukee Hy-Vee beginning Monday, Nov. 26 at 8 a.m. and lasting approximately one week, weather pending. This closure is to allow for pavement removal and replacement of the driveway connection to Alice Road. The south entrance will open and will provide full access. The truck entrance will also be open with partial access.

  2. Tot Lot

    November 28, 2018, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Public Works Facility

    Romp, stomp and play! We have the set-up to meet your children's activity and social needs this fall and winter. With toddler toys ranging from blocks to tunnels and mats, there's no shortage of action here. We provide the fun, parents provide the supervision in this open gym for toddlers. Tot Lot will be cancelled when Waukee Schools are delayed and/or if there is inclement weather. Tot Lot will be closed 11/12, 12/24 and 2/18, but will be open the week of Spring Break.

  3. Storytimes at the Library

    November 28, 2018, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Waukee Public Library

    TODDLER TIME - 10am & 11am For children 18 mo. to 3 yrs old 20 minutes of short stories, songs and lots of movement, followed by playtime to build early literacy skills. PRESCHOOL STORYTIME - 10am & 11am For children 3 to 5 yrs old 30 minutes of stories, songs and rhymes, followed by a craft. For children who can sit for longer stories to develop school readiness. All storytime attendance will be a first-come-first-served basis. Class size is limited for the safety of the children.
