Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Books & Babies Storytime

    December 16, 2019, 10:00 AM - 10:15 AM @ Waukee Public Library

    For infants (0-17 mo.) and caregivers. 15 minutes of songs, rhymes and books, followed by playtime to build early literacy skills. Class size is limited for the safety of the babies. Attendance will be on a first-come first-served basis.

  2. Teen Advisory Board

    December 16, 2019, 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM @ Waukee Public Library

    7-12th grade students on the Teen Advisory Board develop leadership skills and meet weekly to help plan teen programs, sign up for volunteer opportunities, plan fundraisers, and suggest teen books to be purchased by the library.   3. Thank You Reception for City Council Member Shelly Hughes

    December 16, 2019, 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Waukee City Hall

    A reception will be held on Monday, Dec. 16 from 5-5:30 p.m. to thank outgoing Waukee City Council Member Shelly Hughes for her eight years of service to the City and its residents. This event is free, and the public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
