Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Hickman Road Lane Closure

    April 2, 2019 - April 19, 2019

    Hickman Road going eastbound from just east of Peachtree Drive to just east of Alice's Road will be down to one lane April 2-April 19. Crews will be working to remove pavement along Hickman Road as part of the Alice’s Road widening project. Drivers will still be able to turn right onto Alice’s Road.

  2. Habitat for Humanity "Rock the Block"

    April 10, 2019 - April 12, 2019

    Dallas County Habitat for Humanity is inviting Waukee homeowners to participate in its Rock the Block® home program. The goal of Rock the Block is to bring together families, local partners, volunteers and sponsors to repair homes and improve the overall condition of the community. The Waukee Rock the Block neighborhood revitalization will take place April 10-12, 2019.
    Rock the Block projects focus on:

    Exterior home maintenance and minor repairs
    Painting
    Weatherization
    Landscaping and yard beautification
    Community projects: gardens or playgrounds
    Debris removal
    Accessibility: ramp construction or repair

    Families with children ages 0-5 are invited to enjoy 20-25 minutes of fun songs and stories with one of our youth services librarians. No registration required.
