Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Hickman Road Lane Closure

    April 2, 2019 - April 19, 2019

    Hickman Road going eastbound from just east of Peachtree Drive to just east of Alice's Road will be down to one lane April 2-April 19. Crews will be working to remove pavement along Hickman Road as part of the Alice’s Road widening project. Drivers will still be able to turn right onto Alice’s Road.

  3. Local History Series: Granger Homesteads

    Presented by Darcy Maulsby The Granger homesteads, was a U.S. Resettlement Administration project in Granger, Iowa. Fifty coal mine families settled and raised their families there. Come and learn about this important project in Iowa's history. -------------------------------- In partnership with the Waukee Area Historical Society and sponsored by Heartland Co-op, the Waukee Public Library is proud to present this Local Series History Series program.
