Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Hickman Road Lane Closure

    April 2, 2019 - April 19, 2019

    Hickman Road going eastbound from just east of Peachtree Drive to just east of Alice's Road will be down to one lane April 2-April 19. Crews will be working to remove pavement along Hickman Road as part of the Alice’s Road widening project. Drivers will still be able to turn right onto Alice’s Road.

  3. Our Neighbors, The Amish

    What comes to mind at the mention of the word “Amish?” Horse and buggy travel? “Plain People?” A simple life? Amish living certainly does involve all those elements, but so much more. Don and Diana Kramer will teach you all about the beliefs and lifestyle of a community of people whose religious practices are often mystifying and whose way of life is much different from our own. Samples of Amish baked treats will also be served.
