Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Animal Ambassadors: Blank Park Zoo

    June 14, 2019, 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM @ Waukee Public Library

    An educator from the Blank Park Zoo will bring some live animals to help children explore the universe of the animal kingdom. What animals will they bring? It is always an exciting surprise! www.blankparkzoo.com Recommended for children entering Kindergarten and older and their families. Care-givers must remain in the event with their children. Registration is required for this event. Unregistered participants are welcome to come to the library on stand-by the day of the event and will be admitted to the program if space allows. Park at the church next door or the school across the street if the library lot is full. Please do not park in non-parking spaces.

    The Waukee Community Festivals Committee welcomes bacon lovers to unite! BACooN Sizzles Waukee will ride into Waukee Friday, June 15, 2019 - the night before BACooN Ride 6: Ride for the Cured! BACooN Sizzles Waukee will kick off a weekend of bacon, bikes and beverages, but you don’t have to be a rider to attend. Residents, friends, bacon enthusiasts – everyone is welcome to enjoy delicious bacon delicacies from vendors and live music!
