    June 15, 2019, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Waukee Public Library

Bento (?? bento) is the Japanese word for a meal packed in a lunchbox. A typical homemade bento is a healthy balance of several different dishes—including rice, fish or meat, eggs, vegetables, pickled foods, and sometimes fruit—all neatly packed into a compact, space-saving bento box. In this class, you’ll learn how to prepare delicious Japanese-styled bento lunches at home, get hands-on experience making onigiri and a few other dishes, as well as stuffing a bento box. Samples will be served. Registration Required. Registration will begin 3 weeks before the event. Note: Each person attending must sign-up separately.
