Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

    15 minutes of songs, rhymes and books, followed by playtime to build early literacy skills. For infants (0-17 mo.) and care-givers. All storytime attendance is on a first-come first-served basis. Class size is limited for the safety of the children.

  3. Teens: Waves of Danger Murder Mystery

    June 17, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM @ Waukee Public Library

    Students preparingn to enter 6-12th grades are invited to take a trip into secret meetings, dangerous minds, and unknown clues. Become a passenger on the S.S. Carnage to help find the killer, or maybe be the killer yourself! You choose to be a part of the mystery, or to sit back and try to figure it out. *No one will actually be murdered at this event.* Light snacks will be served. This event will end between 7-8pm depending on the problem solving speed of the sleuths attending. Registration is required and will open 3 weeks prior to the event. Unregistered participants are welcome to come to the library on stand-by the day of the event and will be admitted to the program if space allows.
