Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

    15 minutes of songs, rhymes and books, followed by playtime to build early literacy skills. For infants (0-17 mo.) and care-givers. All storytime attendance is on a first-come first-served basis. Class size is limited for the safety of the children.

  3. Fox Creek Park and Splash Pad Ribbon Cutting

    June 25, 2019, 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM @ Fox Creek Park

    New amenities in Waukee’s Fox Creek Park will open on Tuesday, June 25, following a 5:30 p.m. ribbon cutting event. Members of the public are welcome to attend the event and stay after to explore the park, which features the community’s first splash pad! In addition to the highly anticipated splash pad, Phase 2 improvements include the addition of a new tennis court, four Pickleball courts and an indoor shelter building with an 80-person capacity. Fox Creek Park’s new, non-traditional play area features a climbing wall and rope climb, as well as a unique “in-hill” slide and tunnel system.
