Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  2. Elementary Coding: Finch Avoids Asteroids

    July 24, 2019, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Waukee Public Library

    All coding classes will use the Scratch programming language to control Finch robots. No prior coding experience is necessary. Students entering 3rd-5th grades in the fall will work in pairs with library staff and teen volunteers. These robots and programs are made possible by a grant from Birdbrain Technologies, LLC. www.birdbraintechnologies.com Registration is required and will open 3 weeks prior to the event. Young coders will program Finch to move safely through an asteroid field obstacle course.

  3. Waukee Downtown Farmers Market

    July 24, 2019, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Triangle Park

    Presented by the Waukee Triangle Businesses, the Farmers Market is held in the Downtown Triangle every Wednesday evening during the summer and features local food vendors, fresh produce, handmade items and live music.
