Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

    CANCELED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER Calling all Centennial Park neighbors! Park Play is a new summer series of park events organized by the Waukee Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with Central Bank. The goal of this series is to bring neighbors together and introduce specific parks to those who live near them. Games, crafts, activities and free play for all ages will be provided free of charge. The Centennial Park theme is "Touch a Truck"! Here's the line-up: -Vehicles and equipment from the Waukee Fire and Police Departments as well as Public Works and Parks & Rec to touch and tour -Free hot dogs -Free prize for the first 60 kids -Residents are encouraged to ride their bikes to the park -A mini version of "Safety City" -Face painting -Obstacle course -Giant yard games The event will be held near the Centennial Park Open Shelter and people are encouraged to park on Park Road.
