Community organizations are welcome to submit events to the City of Waukee Events Calendar from the “Add Event” button on the homepage. The City encourages submission of events which cater to the whole community such as pancake breakfasts, free concerts, ribbon cuttings and so on. The Events Calendar is not intended to promote private programming or sales initiatives, or to support a political party or candidate. The City has the right to decline any calendar submissions.

  1. Waukee Celebration of Independence

    July 2, 2021, 12:00 PM - July 4, 2021, 10:30 PM @ Centennial Park

    Waukee’s Celebration of Independence will take place July 2-4! The newly expanded three-day event will feature a carnival, food vendors, a parade, live music, skydivers, bags and sand volleyball tournaments, the beloved fireworks show and more.

    Enjoy Hollywood’s biggest hits under the stars with Movies in the Park, sponsored by NCMIC! Movies in the Park is FREE and provides an abundance of entertainment. Showtime is at dusk (approximately 8:45 p.m.) in Centennial Park. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments, and get ready to make memories with family and friends. "Jumanji: The Next Level" (PG-13) - The gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to rescue one of their own, the players will have to brave parts unknown from arid deserts to snowy mountains, to escape the world’s most dangerous game.
