The Waukee Police Department received a report of a phone scam. A person with a foreign accent states they are with the Waukee Police Department and says that you owe the IRS a large sum of the money. The caller states if it is not paid, the Waukee Police will come to your door. The person or persons involved in this scam have the ability to spoof their phone number so your caller ID shows 515-987-1073 which is the old Waukee Police Department phone number.
