[ARCHIVED] "Turbo" to Kick Off Movies in the Park Friday, June 1

Enjoy the sixth year of Hollywood’s biggest hits under the stars with Movies in the Park! Provided by the Waukee Parks & Recreation Department and the Park Board, Movies in the Park is FREE and provides an abundance of family fun. 

Turbo (PG) will kick off the 2018 season on Friday, June 1 at dusk or approximately 8:45 p.m. at Centennial Park. Turbo is 1 hour and 36 minutes long. In this film, a freak accident might just help an everyday garden snail achieve his biggest dream: winning the Indy 500. PLUS - join Iowa State University as they present the Insect Zoo in conjunction with the movie from 2:30-4 p.m. and also from 6:45-8:15 p.m. The Insect Zoo is a hands-on, interactive, and fun experience which explores the basics of arthropod (insects, spiders, tarantulas, millipedes, centipedes, scorpions, etc.) form and function. Learn why insects are important to us as you interact with live and preserved insect displays.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments, and get ready to make memories with family and friends.

Plus, add Friday, Aug. 10 to your calendar to for a free showing of The Greatest Showman (PG) at Centennial Park!
