gavel

Waukee Mayor Bill Peard recently made two new appointments to the City of Waukee's volunteer boards and commissions to fill previous vacancies.

Long-time Waukee resident Kathryn Sandie (left) was appointed to the Planning & Zoning Commission. Sandie, who is 1st Vice President and Branch Manager for West Bank, will contribute to the commissions's considerations of rezoning, preliminary and final plans, site plans and certain ordinance changes during bi-monthly meetings.

Kayt Gabrielson (right), who has lived in Waukee for more than a decade, was appointed to serve on the Waukee Public Library Board of Trustees. Gabrielson works for Owner Revolution/Schafer Systems Inc., and she also owns and operates the marketing and strategy consulting business Eden Portfolio. She will join the rest of the board in monthly meetings to provide direction related to library operations.

Both terms expire in 2020.
