[ARCHIVED] National Public Works Week Celebrates Community

public works week

In accordance with with the tradition of the American Public Works Association, those who work in professions that provide and maintain public facilities and services will be honored during National Public Works Week, May 20-26, 2018.

Public works professionals include those who manage water, sewer, utilities, streets and refuse removal systems as well as those responsible for maintaining public buildings and grounds. They are, in short, the people who maintain and improve the systems and services vital to the Waukee community’s health, safety and comfort.

This week, and always, we thank the more than 35 year-round, full-time members of the Waukee Public Works and Parks & Recreation Departments as well as those who are on board for the summer season! We also would like to thank the solid waste workers from Ankeny Sanitation (ASI) who do such a great job for City garbage customers.
