Construction crews have begun mobilizing on Alice's Road and the surrounding areas as they aim to complete the rest of the Alice's Road widening work by summer 2019. As part of the spring construction, Hickman Road going eastbound from just east of Peachtree Drive to just east of Alice's Road will be down to one lane April 2-April 19. Crews will be working to remove pavement along Hickman Road. Drivers will still be able to turn right onto Alice’s Road.
Work throughout April will also include removal of the existing "old" Alice's Road lanes south of Hickman Road, paving of eastbound Hickman near the Alice's Road intersection and wrapping up paving on northbound Alice's Road north of Hickman Road. SE Laurel Street will be closed at one point during this project; stay tuned for notifications of this closure.
