Waukee's new Westown Meadows Park, located at 2445 SE Willowbrook Drive, is starting to take shape. Crews have been working hard throughout the summer to bring this new amenity to the Waukee community. The park will feature playground equipment, swings, water play nozzles, restrooms, an open shelter, multipurpose green space, trail connections to nearby neighborhoods and five parking stalls. Crews have recently finished installing the playground equipment and are now working to install the playground surface. The park's shelter is expected to be installed by early September with trail and sidewalk installation to follow. The whole project is expected to be completed in early October.
