On Sept. 12, 13 and 14, Union Pacific will be working to replace railroad ties near the intersection of University Avenue and Alice's Road/Grand Prairie Parkway. Work will be done between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. While no work will be done IN the intersection, the intersection will be closed for durations of 1-2 minutes at a time to allow equipment to cross. The Waukee Police Department will be on hand to assist. While the intersection closures will be brief, please allow a few minutes of extra travel time if utilizing this route on Sept. 12, 13 and 14 between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
