Arnold Wehrenberg – Tennis Manager

I transferred to Des Moines from the Life Time in Charlotte, NC where I was the Performance Director. Prior to that I was the Junior Director at Life Time in Plano, TX. I played Division 1 Tennis in North Carolina and also played on the Satellite Tour. I’ve coached on the WTA/ATP Tour with several players, one reaching top 100. I’ve lead hundreds of students to successful college careers and sent dozens of adult USTA teams to Nationals. I come to Waukee P&R with over 25 years coaching experience, and I feel that Park & Rec programs are a way to bring families together, and a way to offer a variety of opportunities to the families that might not have a chance to participate in.

What does Parks & Recreation/leisure mean to me? “For me personally, in regards to tennis, it is a way to grow tennis in the community.”
