Get your Independence Day started early at the Waukee Boy Scout Troop 178's 4th of July 5K Fun Run and 1K Kids Run! It starts at the Waukee Middle School at 8 a.m. Monday. Register by July 1 for the discounted rate. Packet pick-up is on Saturday July 2 from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Running Room, 6305 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines.
