dog park member

Park passes for the soon-to-open new Trailside Dog Park are now available for purchase. Annual passes cost $25 for each Waukee dog. Non-resident passes are $45 per dog. Daily passes are also available for $5. Waukee residents will need to license each dog with the City of Waukee prior to purchasing a Trailside Dog Park pass. Residents can visit PetData.com or call 1-855-585-8157 to license dogs.

Both annual and day passes can be purchased 24 hours a day online or on weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Waukee Parks & Recreation Office. The office is located at 805 University Avenue in the Waukee Public Works Building. Please review these helpful steps for purchasing your Trailside Dog Pass(es)

Please note that while passes are available now, the Trailside Dog Park will not be ready to open until at least mid-March.

Trailside Ambassadors

Waukee Parks & Recreation is also seeking Waukee residents age 18 and older to be volunteer ambassadors for the Trailside Dog Park! Ambassador responsibilities include facilitating a safe and enjoyable environment for park users and their dogs, ensuring all patrons have their permit visible while using the park, and informing users of the park’s rules and requirements. Ambassadors will be asked to volunteer a minimum of two times per month for the next calendar year. Learn more about becoming a Trailside Ambassador
