The Waukee Public Library and the Waukee Parks & Recreation Department have partnered to offer Storytime in the Park for young bookworms (ages 0-5). This free program features themed Storybooks including colors, ducks, plants and movement, followed by a different craft or activity each day after the stories. Storytimes are held on Aug. 2, 5, 7 and 9 from 9-9:45 a.m. This event is held at the Windfield Park Open Shelter unless there is inclement weather; then it will be at the Waukee Public Library. Watch the Library or Parks & Recreation Facebook pages for location announcements. Please bring a tricycle or bicycle on Aug. 9, for a short ride along the Storywalk.
