Waukee Parks & Recreation’s virtual rec activities continue April 6-10! Take on the photo, baking and trick shot challenges! Daily entries will be accepted and will go into a random prize drawing. Post photos/videos or email if you do not have social media by Friday, April 10 at 5 p.m. Prize winners will be announced and contacted the week of April 13.
Photo Challenge
Venture out into your neighborhoods, parks, trails, school areas, City buildings, business parks and other Waukee destinations (keeping a safe distance, of course), and snap picturesque photos that capture what Waukee means to you! Be sure to keep your distance from other people while doing so. Tag Waukee Parks & Rec and/or post to social media with #waukeevirtualrec and #waukeephotos to be entered into a random prize drawing. Note: Photos may be used in future promotional posts/pieces, on the City website, etc.
Baking Challenge
Get creative in the kitchen, and taste-test some yummy, homemade baked goods. Post the recipes and photos and tag Waukee Parks & Rec and/or post to social media with #waukeevirtualrec and #waukeebaking to be entered into a random prize drawing.
Trick Shot Challenge
Are you a master at making trick shots? Grab a camera and film your best attempt at trick shot magic. Participants can use any kind of ball or item to shoot, kick or throw it into a hoop, basket or other object. The more creative, the better! Here is a fun video for inspiration.
