[ARCHIVED] Waukee PD Welcomes Two New Officers

Two new police officers - Cole Jackson (below left) and Austin Gibbs (below right) - recently joined the Waukee Police Department. Both started in their positions on Aug. 10.

Officer Jackson previously worked for the Jefferson (Iowa) Police Department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and is a graduate of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. 

Officer Gibbs also has a degree in Criminal Justice, his from Buena Vista University. Most recently, he worked at Woodward Academy. He will attend the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy prior to entering field training and full-time patrol work.

With Jackson and Gibbs on board, the Waukee Police Department now has 27 officers on its roster, serving a community of approximately 25,000 residents (and growing).
