The Waukee Police Department recently hired three new police officers – Bryce Meeker (not pictured), Johnathan Young (left) and Jeff Schultz (right). Meeker is enrolled at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, with an April graduation planned. Young and Schultz are both certified officers; Young previously worked as a police officer with the Jefferson Police Department and Schultz previously worked as a police officer with the Cedar Falls Police Division.

“As the City continues to grow at a record pace, the Waukee Police Department continues to add quality officers to meet the increasing volume of calls for service,” said Lt. Scott Cunningham.

With these three on board, the Waukee PD now has 28 sworn officers and three citizens working to protect and serve the community, with an estimated population of now more than 25,000 residents (and growing). Welcome, Officers Meeker, Young and Schultz!
