Update on 7/26/2024
Opening date of NW 10th Street/R22 is now expected to be Tuesday, July 30 after some delays, including RAGBRAI impact on the quarry. Shoulder work for Meredith/260th Street will follow completion of NW 10th Street, so expect those sections to remain closed until shoulder rock placement is done around August 2.
Update on 7/19/2024
The reopening for 10th Street is delayed until July 26 due to equipment breakdown and expansion to include an overlay for an additional area on Meredith just west of 10th. Thank you for your patience as crews work to wrap up this project.
Update from 7/16/2024
For the NW 10th Street project, the road is expected to reopen to traffic next week after crews complete work on the shoulder. Rain caused delays in the project, but patching of the original concrete/subgrade, subdrain installation and asphalt overlay was completed last week, and temporary pavement markings were completed yesterday. Due to the large drop-off, the road cannot be reopened until shouldering work is finished.
Through traffic should use the detour route across R-44/240th St or Hickman to Alice’s Road.
