Waukee WinterFest is Friday, December 5. If you must drive in this area, slow down and be extra alert. Hundreds of people will be walking to and from the festival in the dark.
Expect road closures in the Downtown Triangle area starting mid-Friday afternoon as early as noon through 9 p.m.
- 6th Street will be closed completely from Locust Street to Ashworth Drive.
- Walnut Street will be closed completely from 7th Street to Ashworth Drive.
- Ashworth Drive will remain open, but we ask people to avoid the area if possible as people will be crossing back and forth for the festival.
