[ARCHIVED] City Changing Solid Waste Management Provider

ASI solid waste

The City of Waukee is preparing to transition to a new solid waste management provider – ASI. The switch will be fully in effect as of Monday, June 27, 2016.

A full calendar of dates related to this change will be included in the May utility bill mailing. This will include instructions for switching out trash and recycling bins – a process that should be of very little inconvenience for residents. That mailing will also include a new trash collection and recycling map, as the City is going from a two-day garbage collection schedule to an every-weekday collection schedule. Recycling pick-up will become a weekly occurrence.

In the meantime, ASI would like to offer two options for garbage containers.

The company’s default containers hold 96 gallons. However, if you would like a smaller container, a 64-gallon version is available.

Please call 515-964-5229 by June 10, 2016 to request the smaller container. You may also email custserv@ankenysanitation.com to make the request.

If the standard 96-gallon garbage container is acceptable, you do not need to respond. Thank you!
