As Waukee continues to grow, so does the demand for public safety personnel. The Waukee Police Department hired officers Brett Medders (left) and Matthew Kessler (right). Both officers were sworn in on Monday, July 11.
Following more than a month of in-the-field training, they will then begin 16 weeks of classes at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy on August 22.
The addition of Medders and Kessler brings the total number of Waukee Police Officers to 20.
