Cherian Koshy is a Certified Fundraising Executive, AFP Master Trainer, and currently serves as the Director of Development at Des Moines Performing Arts. He was appointed by Governor Branstad to Iowa’s Commission on Volunteer Service which supports volunteerism and engages Iowans in volunteer activity. Cherian is a deacon and board member at Soteria Des Moines: A Baptist Church where he has served for nearly 10 years. He is also a committee vice-chair of the Rotary Club of Des Moines and a board member of the Friendship Center in Des Moines. Outside of Iowa, he serves as a member of the AFP External Relations Committee and an Advisory Panel member of Rogare at the University of Plymouth in England. He is also the Vice President of Slingshot Consultants, which provides capital campaign and fundraising consultation to churches. Cherian and his wife Betsy are parents to three kids who attend Waukee Schools, participate in Cub Scouts and enjoy activities at the Waukee Family YMCA.
