Junior Golf Programs

Waukee Parks & Recreation is partnering with PGA Pro, Chelsea Soda, to host Youth and Future Aces golf camps at Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course. Soda is US Kids Golf and TPI certified and was named to the Golf Range Association of America (GRAA) Top 100 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional in 2022.

Future Aces Golf Camp

Young golfers, ages 5-8 years old, will learn the basics through game-based and story-based learning. Each class will cover 1-2 topics. If golfers don’t have their own clubs, various clubs will be available to borrow during camp, but we cannot guarantee the right size/club face for each individual.

Youth Golf Camp

Campers, ages 9-13 years old, will learn the basics of putting, chipping and full swing over two days. Game-based learning and a fun environment will keep players engaged. Each day, golfers will rotate among three stations.

Youth Golf Clinic

This clinic is for young golfers who generally know the basics and are looking to improve with hopes of playing competitively in the future. Kids will learn the basics of putting, chipping and full swing through game-based learning in fun, engaging environment. Sessions available for kids 9-14 years old.
