Ice Rink

Closed for the Season

The Grant Park ice rink is now closed for the season. People badly damaged the rink lining, and it no longer holds water. Staff took the rink down on December 31, 2025.

Grant Park Skating Rink

Grab your skates and head out to the free outdoor rink at Grant Park at 605 SE Driftwood Lane during winter months. Donated by the Iowa Wild and Wells Fargo, this 80 x 40 feet rink is open to the public with designated hours for free skating and hockey, weather permitting.

When in operation, the rink is open daily for hockey from dawn to noon and open for free skating from noon to dusk. The rink is free for public use and will be open when weather permits.

  • A green sign will be posted at the gate to indicate that the rink is open
  • A red sign will be posted when the rink is closed.

All skaters are advised that they are skating at their own risk. The rink is not supervised. Click here to read the rink rules.
