On Sept. 20, 2021, the Waukee City Council approved construction plans for Sugar Creek Park, to be located near Serenity Drive and Ashworth Road near the future Sugar Creek Elementary. The 4.92-acre neighborhood park will include pickleball courts, playground equipment, a shelter and more. Construction began in October 2021. The project is expected to be completed in 2022.
