Waukee residents can order up to two low-cost trees per household through the Parks and Recreation Department's Waukee Canopy program. Order your tree at Waukee.org/Registration. Note that you must live within Waukee city limits to qualify for this program.
Registration opens for the Canopy program at 8 a.m. on March 2, 2026. Prepayment and advance orders are required by April 10, 2026. Trees will be much larger this year, so you're closer to the benefits of shade and full beauty. The Parks team will also deliver the trees to your home. Trees are nonrefundable. Exchanges will not be accepted, and plant material is under no warranty or guarantee.
Remember to have utility lines marked where you plan to plant. Before you dig, call 811 or visit IowaOneCall. We suggest submitting your request at least one week in advance to ensure all utilities have time to mark their lines.
